I easily get overwhelmed at this time of year. I worry about spending too much or not enough, preparing (food, activities) too much or not enough. What gifts to buy (Family, send your list in NOW), grades in (finished), meals planned, the house prepared (Where will all the coats go?), etc? 😱
This is the time we are called on to do more, give more, be happy & happier because it’s the happiest time of year. Well, it isn’t so for a lot of people.
During this time, there are those who are suffering loss, be it home, job, or loved ones. There is too much to do in so little time, anxiety/depression of others and the triggers Christmas brings, in terms of memories – good & bad.
Gifts 🎁
It‘s not just about the gifts you receive, it’s also about the gifts you give! Fortunately, gifts come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. Take time out to give a gift that costs you very little, but may mean so much. Be the gift!
You are the gift in the form of putting a smile on your face, sending an old school handwritten letter, or calling a friend you haven’t talked to in a while. The gift is your being around people you love and also those who love you. (That’s 4) Remember those who may not have someone to care and share your time & talents with them.
Treat Yourself 💖
You can even give this gift of yourself to yourself by simply taking time to sit, relax and do nothing in this hustle/bustle time of year.
Here’s one of the tips I’m using to reduce my stress this season. Change stress
